Earlier this month my friend Julia shot the OldSchoolSwank Winter 2016 lookbook. It was a drizzly day on Lake Champlain, which made for a bit of a cold and damp experience, but I am so in love with how it affected the lighting in the photos. We shot it at a few different locations around the small town Essex, NY where she lives, including a boathouse, an old inn porch, a church door and a gorgeous fence in front of an old brick house. The location felt very "vintage" and was super inspiring, and my models braved the rain for some amazing shots. Lucky for us Julia had made some hot soup for afterwards which warmed us back up quickly. Essex is right across the lake from me in Vermont, and so I jumped on the ferry in the morning and was home before dinner that night. Great times : )
