ChloƩ Fall 2016 Collection

IN LOVE with the new fall collection ChloƩ showed at Paris Fashion Week yesterday. It was inspired by Anne-France Dautheville, a female motorcyclist who rode around the world in the 1970s, and her "rebel spirit". The mix of bohemian feminine florals with the leather and all black ensembles is just perfect! Here are a few of my favorites, but you can check the rest out here,

OldSchoolSwank Fall/Winter 2015 Lookbook

I am so excited to share some images from the OldSchoolSwank Fall/Winter 2015 lookbook! This is a project I have wanted to do for so long, and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. My super talented photographer friend Julia Backus photographed another friend Abby in a few looks that I feel represent OldSchoolSwank's overall style for this Fall/Winter season. I love how the photos encompass a little retro, a little bohemian, and a little mod style, which are my favorite vintage items to source.

If you'd like to check out the full lookbook, or the newly updated shop website, head to www.oldschoolswank.com.

NYFW Street Style : Outside Concept Korea and Jeremy Scott

Yesterday I flew to New York for a one day inspiration / fabric buying trip with my mom. More to come tomorrow on what we did, but our main activity was checking out day four of NYFW, mainly the Concept Korea and Jeremy Scott shows. And yes, I know, this is the third post on fashion week and you're probably sick of it. Sorry to not be very sorry, but I love it. Regular posting will resume soon I promise ; ) Here are some of my favorite photos that I shot throughout the day. Fashion week is crazy and slightly ridiculous, but it is amazing for stirring up your creative side and getting you to think outside of the box. Enjoy!

p.s. Spotting Chiara was the best. She's just so so good.

New York Fashion Week Favorites : Day 1

ERIN FETHERSTON
I get way too excited for New York Fashion Week, especially in the fall. I think it comes from my first semester at F.I.T., where it felt like as soon as we got to school, Fashion Week started and we were immediately immersed in it. I volunteered at an amazing designer's show dressing models for the runway, and the experience was just so fun and exciting (and he took us out for dinner and drinks the next week as a thank you which didn't hurt). I try to get to the city every year at this time to gather inspiration from the excitement in the air, and will be heading there this week again.

I love seeing all the fashion both on and off the runway happening every September, so I will be sharing some of my favorites from the shows throughout the week. I've been catching some of the shows live on nyfw.com, which runs a live feed of the shows happening that day. Here is a roundup of my favorites from day 1 of NYFW 2015 (all photos courtesy of vogue.com)

Roundup : My Favorite Vintage For Fall

Can you believe we are nearing the end of August? This summer has flown by. I have to admit that even though I love the rest of summer, August and September are my favorite months. They have such a relaxed vibe to them and the anticipation of new things is in the air. I maybe can do without this insane heat wave, as I am sitting here sweating to death even though a box fan set on high is a foot away from my face.

One of my favorite things about August is anticipating what my fall wardrobe will be. I am not in school anymore, nor do I have a traditional job I go to every day where I need to get dressed, but I still love imagining the new pieces I will add each year. Especially when I buy the "September Issue" of Vogue (right?!).

I put together a little roundup of some of my favorite vintage items I want to get for fall, from a few of the raddest vintage shops on Etsy. Enjoy!

Designer Spotlight : Olgo Vilshenko

I recently discovered designer Olgo Vishenko's Resort 2016 Collection HERE, and fell in love with it! Such a romantic and feminine look without too many frills. The top center maxi dress is just perfect. You can see the rest of the collection HERE if you'd like.

Style Files : Casual Summer Looks

Some of my favorite low key summer looks this season.

1. A slinky black tank with a unique neckline. Perfect to throw on during the day or dress up at night.
2. A slip dress in a bohemian pattern. Great to walk around town for coffee or throw over your bathing suit.
3. A longer fitting trapeze tank. Flattering and conveniently camouflaging for when you've had one too many ice cream cones that day,
4. A denim overall jumper. Great nineties casual cool vibe.

I've been seeing the skirt/sneaker combination all over lately, and have wondered if I could pull it off.  At 5'2", I am not too convinced. But with inspiration like this, I think I might try it out this week : )

Favorite Etsy Finds : Easy Breezy Summer

My parents put their boat in the water this week, which is always the first sign of summer for us. Being out on the clear blue lake with the green landscape surrounding us got me inspired to do a roundup of crisp, easy breezy items from some of my favorite Etsy designers. I could wear that scarf every day! Happy Thursday everyone : )
